so what is GLA:D all about?
Osteoarthritis (OA) occurs when the cartilage that cushions the ends of bones in your joints gradually deteriorates. Cartilage is a firm, slippery tissue that enables nearly frictionless joint motion. Eventually, as the cartilage wears down, it effects the underlying bone and causes pain.
GLA:D™ osteoarthritis program
GLA:D™, or Good Life with Arthritis: Denmark, is an education and exercise program developed by researchers in Denmark for people with hip or knee osteoarthritis symptoms. It is now available at our Stepney Healthcare Hub and Morphett Vale branch with several of our physiotherapists.
