Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr Roger Paterson is the co-founder of SPORTSMEDĀ·SA, now known as sportsmed. In 1985, Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr Greg Keene was inspired to build a centre of excellence for the treatment and care of sport injuries, and approached fellow Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr Roger Paterson, along with Sports Physiotherapist Susan Everett to join him in establishing SPORTSMEDĀ·SA. Other sports medicine professionals perceived to be the best in their fields were recruited for their skills, ambition and commitment to the vision. Dr Paterson is passionate about providing his patients with facilities that will support them throughout their treatment journey; from the initial diagnosis, all the way through to any necessary procedures and and recovery. Dr Paterson has particular knowledge and expertise in the biomechanics and reconstruction of the Anterior Cruciate Ligament, and Patello-Femoral problems. He also specialises in ankle conditions, and performs hip replacement surgery. A GP referral is required to make an appointment with Dr Paterson.
