About Dr Justin Alexander

Dr Justin Alexander is an Australian-trained orthopaedic surgeon specialising in preventative care, treatment and rehabilitation for a range of shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand ailments, injuries and conditions. Dr Alexander is passionate about offering his patients expert and comprehensive assessments. He places particular focus on taking time with his patients to fully explain individual conditions and treatment options. Utilising advances in technology and well-established surgical techniques, Dr Alexander looks to ensure the best possible outcomes for his patients. An integral member of the sportsmed team since 2017, Dr Alexander currently consults at our Stepney Healthcare Hub and in Mt Barker at Summit Health Centre. He treats private health members, uninsured, workers’ compensation, and third party patients. A GP referral is required to make an appointment with Dr Alexander.

  • Fractures, dislocations and sporting injuries of the hand and upper limb
  • Shoulder: Instability, rotator cuff, arthritis, in particular arthritis affecting the younger patient
  • Elbow: Complex traumatic injuries, tendinopathies, arthritis
  • Wrist: Traumatic and degenerative conditions, in particular arthroscopic techniques
  • Hand: Traumatic and degenerative conditions including soft tissue injuries
  • Nerve: Compressive neuropathies, traumatic injuries, nerve and tendon transfer surgery
